Hi guys, here’s some info to help you prepare for navigation on the Rampage ODC – Gauteng Stampede. If you’re new to RBR Roadbook & GPX Navigation (Android only), this will guide you through the basics.
HOW NAVIGATION WORKS ON THE ODC
For this event, we are using the full RBR event system, meaning you will register on RBR later this week. Once registered, all your routes and waypoints will be pre-loaded into the event—ready to ride on the day. No PINs will be sent for the actual ODC route.
👉 On event day, simply open the RBR event, select your class, and you’ll be ready to navigate.
TRY A SAMPLE NAVIGATION ROUTE NOW
To get familiar with RBR, you can load these sample routes. These are demos – do NOT attempt to ride them.
📌 GPX Track Example (Adventure Route)
PIN: N9XD
– Load in GPX mode to see how a track looks in RBR.
– Important: GPX routes are start-point dependent, meaning in a demo you will need to manually zoom out and find the track. On event day, your device will center and follow you automatically.
📌 Roadbook Example
PIN: 4G41
– Loads a sample roadbook in RBR.
– Features like CAP Heading and Speed will only work when riding.
– Use the Roadbook Cheat Sheet (attached screenshots) to learn the shortcuts.
GETTING STARTED WITH RBR NAVIGATION
DOWNLOAD & SETUP
✅ Use an Android device (phone or tablet).
✅ Download RBR Roadbook from the Google Play Store.
✅ You don’t need an account to use RBR, but logging in lets you track rides, replay sessions & get live scoring.
LOADING ROUTES ON RBR
There are 3 ways to load routes:
✔ PIN Code – Enter a route PIN (like the samples above).
✔ Event Registration – Join an event (like the ODC) where routes are pre-loaded.
✔ Purchased Route – Coming soon!
ONLINE VS. OFFLINE USE
🔹 RBR does not require internet while riding.
